We at RBCGI Solutions realize that although the primary Covid-19 event has ended, covid realities continue to have impacts on our personal, social, and professional environments.
Some of those impacts have been revealed, while others have yet to be fully realized.
Unlike anything in modern times, we have been confronted with realities that have caused the majority of those on the planet to question and examine our personal and professional priorities, how we exist and interact within each, it has altered our expectations and the expectations of others of us, it has made us less flexible in our demands, while requiring more flexibility of the demands' others place on us. Our tolerance and acceptability standards have changed. What was before Covid-19 is not what is now!
In order to achieve healthy environments for all, we must all accept that 'normal' cannot be defined by what was, but by what is! That 'normal' is no longer easily defined by a destination. But rather, by the journey. As our new normal processes are rooted in ebbs and flows that can change from one moment to the next.
You will never please every employee. But you can foster environments where every employee feels valued and appreciated. However, in order to achieve those two things, you have to engage your employees to tell you how they define 'value and appreciation.'
Never before has assuming been such a deficit to the wellbeing of an entity. You have to invest in the processes of knowing, not guessing, knowing!
Reviews of what it takes to get things done coupled with looking at what tools and resources are used to do so is critically important.
It is important to assess leadership talent skillsets to ensure that they are the right fit for the demands of your functioning environments. Look at your processes and procedures and ask yourself if they are still efficient.
Don't be afraid to look at your organizational structure, does it make sense for where you are now.
Ensure that you are monitoring your change impacts across the organization and do it on a regular basis.
